Date: Begins 1st September
Theme: Crowning Glory: Seeing the Church Through God’s Eyes
This autumn, we invite you to join us as we explore the beauty, purpose, and calling of the Church in our new sermon series, “Crowning Glory: Seeing the Church Through God’s Eyes.” Through this series, we will dive deep into the doctrine of the Church.
Each week, we’ll focus on a specific passage that reveals different aspects of the Church as God sees it:
- 1st Sept: Ephesians 2:11-22 – God’s new humanity.
- 8th Sept: Ephesians 5:24-33 – The Bride of Christ.
- 15th Sept: 1 Corinthians 12 – The Body of Christ. (Guest speaker: Tom Morgan from Pattern Church).
- 22nd Sept: Hebrews 12:18-29 – The closest thing to heaven on earth!
- 29th Sept: Matthew 28:18-20 – The Church’s mission (and why we struggle with it).
- 13th Oct: John 15:1-8 – The Church’s greatest need.
- 20th Oct: Various Passages – Blessings of belonging: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
- 27th Oct: Matthew 6:19-34 – The Church’s investment portfolio (why we give and why it’s worth it). (Guest speaker: TBC).
Our associate pastor, Phil Bailey, will be guiding us through most of this series, with special insights from guest speakers Tom Morgan and TBC.
Come and discover the Church as God intended—His beloved, His mission, His crowning glory.
