BBQ for Swindon Safe Families – 10/Sep, 12-3pm

… With free bouncy castle, face painting and ice cream!

Notice: We are all saddened by the passing of our Sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II. As this is a community event, we feel it is appropriate to use the opportunity to also pay tribute to Her Majesty. You are very warmly invited to join us, and at around 1pm, we will spend a short time honouring her passing.

Hot off the press! Swindon Night Shelter will be holding a pop-up shop at the same time. It’s a great opportunity to grab a bargain and support another great charity at the same time. So, double the reason for coming!

Our BBQ last year, in support of the Great Western Hospital, was such an enjoyable and fun occasion that we are very much looking forward to repeating it again this Sept.

This time we are supporting Swindon Safe Families.

Many families have struggles. Safe Families is there to offer them hope, care and belonging by providing support to children, families and care leavers. They currently operate in 35+ local authorities around UK.

The Swindon Safe Families branch, in the last 3 years, has supported 181 families with 377 children. They are now contracted to support 120 families per year for the next 3 years. We are delighted to support them. All profits from the BBQ will go to support their invaluable work.

Please feel free to download their fact sheet below to learn more about what Safe Families does.

Come and join us on 10th Sept for BBQ, cream teas, bouncy castle, face painting, free ice cream and live music! Do feel free to bring family and friends!
