We are a group of ordinary people who love the Lord Jesus and try to help each other live for him day by day. We meet together regularly to worship God, to learn from the Bible, to pray and to encourage one another and we get involved in our community to share the love and good news of Jesus.
We are linked to the FIEC (Fellowship of Independent Churches), and our life and worship are based on the Truth that is found in the Bible (See ‘What we believe‘).
If you live locally or are just visiting the area we warmly invite you to join us in learning more about Jesus.
We meet on a Sunday morning at 10.00am and again at 6.00 for 6.30pm to worship, pray and study God’s word. During the morning service, children and young people up to the age of 15 go out for their own groups. We also run a crèche for babies/toddlers up to 3 years old. Our evening service is the more informal of our services. We begin with refreshments and a time to mix. The aim of this service is to encounter God, experience his empowering presence in our worship and in his unchanging word the Bible. Praise is contemporary, there is opportunity to receive prayer and time is given to share what God is saying through each other.
We also meet on Tuesday evenings. Once a month, on the third Tuesday, we meet at Freshbrook Church at 5.30pm for ‘Freshbrook Food and Prayer’. This is the main church prayer meeting with food from 5.30-6.00pm and Prayer for all ages from 6.00-7.00pm. On two Tuesdays in the month (second and fourth) we meet in small groups in homes to worship, pray and look at the bible together. You are welcome to visit one of these home groups. Other Tuesdays are left free for informal fellowship or used for our quarterly members meetings.
