John Edmonds

John Edmonds is the new pastor of Freshbrook Evangelical Church. John started with us on 1st-Oct-2011. He comes with a wealth of experience, having faithfully served Pontrhydyrun Baptist Church for 13 years. John is also a member of the Trust Board of the FIEC (Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches).

Elders

Alan Bailey

Alan Bailey is married to Sheila and as a couple they have worshipped at Freshbrook since 1992.

Andy Madgwick

Andy and his wife Tracy have been worshipping at Freshbrook since 1990.

David Quantrell

David Quantrell is the Elder responsible for Evangelism at Freshbrook. He is married to Sheila and they have 4 children. They both originally come from Liverpool and have worshipped at Freshbrook since 1992.

Fergus Stewart

Fergus Stewart is the Elder responsible for youth and children's work. He is married to Rachel and they have three children. They moved to Swindon from Nottingham and have been attending Freshbrook since 1993.

Ian Miller

Ian has been a member since 1984 and served as a Deacon in the early years of the church. Ian and his wife Linda are both Scots but have lived in the area for over 25 years.

Paul Mason

Paul is married to Jessica and they have one son Simon, who has recently completed study at university. As a family they have been attending Freshbrook since 1992. Paul looks after the Home Groups which meet twice a month in various homes.

Roy MacNaughton

Roy shares responsibility for Evangelism. He is married to Julia and they have two small children. He and his wife have worshipped at Freshbrook since 2005  having moved from his native Scotland.

 

Church Officers

The Church Officers are responsible to the day to day running and organisation of the church.

Alan Martin

Alan is our church Treasurer. He has married to Rachel and they have one son, James. As a family Alan and Rachel have been attending Freshbrook well over 15 years.

Tracy Madgwick

Tracy is married to Andy. She is responsible for all matters connected with administration.

Ray Cheung

Ray and his wife Jo have been coming to Freshbrook since 1995 and they have two sons. Ray looks after the “technology” in the church.

Mike Mortimer

Mike and his wife Jacqui have two grownup children. They have been attending Freshbrook since 1994. Mike is responsible for the upkeep of the church building.

Rosie Cairns

Rosie and her husband John have been worshipping at Freshbrook since 1994 Rosie is responsible for catering and child protection matters.

 

Youth Worker

Dave Davison

 

Dave is married to Chris and they have two sons. Dave and Chris joined Freshbrook in 1994 when Dave was posted to RAF Lyneham. Dave took up the post of full time Youth and Schools worker for the church in June 2005. Dave also works closely with other youth and community agencies to promote better integration of young people with their community.

 

Pastoral Worker

Ruth Paddon

A retired midwife, Ruth is married to Barrie, and they live in the Freshbrook area. She is on the Council for the Christian Nurses and Midwives Group and on the Leadership Team for the Hospital Christian fellowship. Ruth is also Volunteer Chaplain at the Great Western Hospital and an Advisor for the Swindon Pregnancy Crisis Centre.

 

Office Manager

Julie Hughes

Our Office Manager, Julie, has been attending the church since 1989. She became our Office Manager in 2008. She has one married daughter who also lives in Swindon.
