When Jan retired to Cricklade after many years working with the elderly, she knew it was time for change. Retirement was to give opportunities for new pastimes and hobbies, but more importantly she knew it was time to get right spiritually. Life and circumstances had too often brought difficult challenges, and these had caused her to drift away from her faith. ‘In my heart I never stopped believing, but I was hurting badly and thought I could go it alone’. She couldn’t, and God’s ‘still, small voice’ was always there. Through the prayers of one particular friend, she came back to faith and fellowship.
Jan’s hobby of stained glass never ceases to remind her of the transforming power of light, and the beauty of a finished work when all the pieces fit together as ‘The creator intended’.
